Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept card and PayPal payments. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.

We accept Visa and MasterCard. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. If you do not wish to pay online, you may send your card information via phone or by post.

If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake for you.

When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Shipping And Handling All parcels are sent in the UK by UK MAIL on a next day service, but don't necessarily arrive to you the following day. Deliveries take in the region of 2-5 days to arrive to you, as some items arrive to us first from the supplier. The parcel must be signed for. It is impossible to specify an exact time for delivery, but if requested we endeavour to deliver a parcel on a specific day. Customers in Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland and Channel islands, delivery is around 5 days longer and could cost more depending on weight of parcel. We would contact you in this case. Overseas carriage is by Express Priority, and takes 5 - 15 working days.

Rates are automatically calculated online and are £9 for a UK delivery and £20-£50 for international shipping. There is also a postal service available for smaller UK parcels. This is normally a signed for service with an insurance value of £50.
Delivery Schedule We will normally send your order to you in 2 to 5 business days. International orders are generally received in under 5 to 15 business days.

You must inform us within two working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.

You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.
Back Orders If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

In some cases, back orders may take longer than our normal delivery schedule.
Tax Charges For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free.
Credit Card Security When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.
Guarantee Subject to normal wear and tear, we will always look at any claim for a faulty product individually. Repair or replacement is at our discretion.

Your legal rights are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder of our terms and conditions.

Privacy Policy Shires Motorcycle Accessories do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Returns Policy We are happy to refund or exchange unused items supplied by us returned within 30 days sent by mail-order. You will be liable to pay carriage and shipping charges providing it is not an error on our behalf. We prefer to be contacted by email, so that we have a record of your requirements. Please refer to receipt for in store returns policy.

Shop Customers - Visiting Our Stores
Customers visiting our stores should be aware that we do not keep every size, colour and model of the items shown on our web site in store. We stock a range of different items in the brands shown. We therefore suggest you call or email to check availability before visitng us. Most items are available in our stores on a next day basis. The shop price may be different to the internet price due to higher overhead costs in running the stores, and that our internet site has to compete with all other internet sites, some of which do not have stores. We offer an excellent service in store and is worth paying extra for expert fitting advice and returns benefits.

Helmet Return Policy
We are prepared to accept a helmet back for exchange only if the following criteria are met :

1. The helmet must be received back to us in UNUSED condition, complete with ALL tags in place, manual, protective plastic on visor and any other associated parts complete in the box.

2. The Manufacturers helmet box must be undamaged and inside another box for protection - exactly as you received it from us.

If any of these criteria are not met, there will be either a 20% re-stocking fee or we may refuse to exchange the helmet. The customer is responsible for all additional postage charges
